I wrote a free UUCP package. It is known as Taylor UUCP or GNU UUCP. The current version is 1.06.1, released in August 1995. From here you can read a short description [ http://www.airs.com/ian/uucp.html ] or the documentation [ http://www.airs.com/ian/uucp-doc/ ], or you can download uucp-1.06.1.tar.gz [ ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/uucp/uucp-1.06.2.tar.gz ]. (now called uucp-1.06.2.tar.gz on the GNU FTP site, for reasons outside of my control).
