Subject: Ackman corrects Forbes article

Good news from Forbes. I will assume that Mr. Ackman has taken the criticisms to heart and has corrected the misrepresentation in his article. When browsing to the previously posted link I found the following:

NEW YORK - IBM and Intel plan to announce a defense fund to help little-guy Linux users pay lawyers in the event they are sued, presumably by the SCO Group, which claims certain intellectual property rights relating to the Unix Operating System* and says the GNU Linux infringes on Unix.

*An earlier version of this story mischaracterized the nature of SCO's rights to Unix.

What was Ackman's e-mail addy again? We should send him a nice, polite e-mail thanking him for not only correcting his story, but being so prompt about it.

I already did. After all the hoo-hah Lyons threw around defending his position, it's nice to see some writers at Forbes are willing to take note of opposing opinions...

Better yet, send him a link to this board and suggest that he read the accolades for himself.

If he's not following this board already it may be a real eye opener for him to see the level of participation and concern. He'll also see that we're not a bag o' nuts. Well, during the daylight anyway.

I think someone on this board has already sent him a link to Groklaw. Send it again just in case...
